unwritten Unwritten by Charles Martin

Father Steady Capri has helped many people in his years of priesthood.  We meet him as he runs to the side of a very broken Hollywood star who has lost all hope in life.  Father Steady’s plan to help her is to whisk her away from the public eye with the help of Sunday, another project of Steady’s.

Katie has a lot of problems in her privileged life and she has run out energy to go on.  Will hiding out on a houseboat off the Florida coast help her gain her strength back?

My thoughts:

I loved Unwritten.  This is the first Charles Martin book I have read but it will not be my last.

I am fascinated with the lives of famous people and to get a glimpse into a fictional character and to be reminded the money can’t buy you happiness, is an amazing thing.  I liked that this book has a Christian undertone that you can tell Charles Martin writes books based on Christian faith, but it wasn’t so preachy and perfect like a lot of Christian authors.
