Forget Me by K.A. Harrington
After reading several adult titles, it is always nice to get back to a good YA book that you can read in just a few hours and enjoy just as much as some of the books that take longer.
In the prologue of Forget Me, Morgan meets up with her boyfriend at an old abandoned amusement park when he is tragically hit by a car in a hit-and-run accident.
The story begins three months later when Morgan is finally starting to pick up the pieces of her life after the death of her boyfriend. Her best friend suggests she posts something about the three month anniversary on FriendShare to try and get closure but it gives Morgan anything but closure. As she is adding a picture of her boyfriend, Flynn, the picture recognition on the website suggests it is a picture of Evan Murphy, someone Morgan has never met. After some investigating, Evan does look just like Flynn and Flynn had been pretty private about his life. This brings Morgan to wonder who Flynn was and if he is dead or not.
This is a quick read mystery that will have you guessing. This would be a good pick for a reluctant reader because it does move quickly and has lots of twists and turns. In a world full of series that are hard to keep track of, I appreciate a book that finishes in one volume and doesn’t leave you wondering what will happen when the next installment is published.
